About Us

HealthVisions East St.Louis is a ministry of HealthVisions Midwest, which is sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ. HealthVisions Midwest initiates, coordinates and implements community-based health improvement activities through partnerships.

The mission of HealthVisions East St. Louis calls us to work with those who are underserved and lack social and financial resources.

Mission

Inspired by the compassion of Jesus and the example of Blessed Catherine Kasper, HealthVisions East St. Louis strives to empower the people of East St. Louis to live healthier lives. This will be accomplished through faithbased, collaborative services that meet current and emerging needs.

Goals

  • Address systemic community health needs.
  • Identify and secure funding and resources.

Values

We believe that our four core values flow from joyful service to all, especially with the needy and underserved.
  • Openness to the Spirit

  • Simplicity
  • Dignity and Respect for All

"In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say you have faith; I have deeds. Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do."
James 2:17-18.
